The Author
Joan B
St. Louis is one woman who is enjoying her single life to the full.
Born in
Grenada, but raised in the UK, Joan has enjoyed a very busy and
fulfilled life since becoming a Christian over 30 years ago.
A
resident in Walthamstow, east London and a member of the Wood Street
Tabernacle, Joan currently serves as President, of the
Department of
Missions for the Church of God in Christ, (COGIC) UK.
She works locally and nationally with the Church to promote
missions, evangelism and church growth.
This
work has caused her to make regular visits to France with a team of
committed believers where they promote Church growth amongst the Haitian
community living in and around Paris.
Her other main
areas of ministry are bible teaching, Intercessory
prayer and hospitality at her local church, Wood Street
Tabernacle, COGIC.
She also works nationally as a Mission Worker and
Conference Speaker and has ministered throughout the UK,
France, Spain, Nigeria, South Africa, the United States
and the Caribbean.

Joan’s singles
ministry started approximately 7 years ago in
response to demands that
Singles conferences should be led by someone who was living a single
life. In response to this demand
Joan has spoken at conferences and conducted seminars on singleness in
churches throughout the UK.
She has
also written short articles on the subject for conference brochures.
It was due to the high demand
for her ‘Singles’ seminar notes, deep discussion on the subject with
other singles, along with the encouragement of her pastor’s wife, Mother
Wallace, that Joan was inspired to write and publish ‘Created for
God's Pleasure – A Challenge for Single Women’.
Aside
from her church work, Joan works full time as an Administrative
Assistant for a major oil & gas company in London.
When not
working, or involved in ministry Joan keeps herself busy with her many
hobbies which includes reading, shopping, word games and travel.
She is
also currently learning French and has also dabbled with Russian and
Arabic languages!
